Taking a family vacation together over the spring break holiday is a great way to create memories that last a lifetime. Unfortunately, it can seem difficult to find destinations that aren't littered with loud party goers and thousands of other families do the same thing you are. That's why we've made a list for you to choose from, with each option it's own family-friendly and fun-ensured place to go this spring break.

Smuggler's Notch Resort, Vermont

If you're family loves everything about winter sports or cozy fireplaces, then Smuggler's Notch is an excellent place to vacation. This area has a complete mini terrain park for beginners to enjoy, plus ski programs to teach those who haven't had as much experience on the snow. The resort features an indoor pool, available dog sledding options, an ice-skating rink, and the funzone, an area filled with giant inflatables. While the kids are taking part in one of the arts and crafts classes, you and your partner can enjoy a relaxing massage, some evening entertainment, or a beautiful winter walk.

Rancho de los Caballeros, Arizona

This ranch offers the warmth of summer without the noise of the party-seekers. Each morning, the kids go off to partake in horse rides around the area, crafts, swimming, and hiking. The parents, meanwhile, enjoy some quiet time relaxing at the resort or playing golf in one of the best 100 golf courses in the United States. For together time, families can enjoy the pool or partake in horse rides together. At night, children are corralled again to enjoy a kids campfire, and you have the evening to yourself.

Steamboat Springs, Colorado

A ski resort nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, Steamboat Springs does well when catering to young skiers and snowboarders. There are 5 kids-only slopes, allowing any novice or young learner to practice unafraid of faster moving vacationers. The resort even has lessons available for children as young as two and a half years old. An area called the Rough Rider Basin has teepees and a log cabin designed playhouse for the children. Families can enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride or one of the many hot springs in the area.

Loews Coronado Bay, California

If the beach is your families focus, try this San Diego based resort. For the beach lovers, California boasts some of the best beaches in the country. For anyone else in the family, the bay area has two incredible zoos, excellent museums, and diverse shops and boutiques. The resort serves to entertain on any day not spent in the area, and offers surfing classes, gondola rides through the canals, and club activities.

Made up of over 125,000 square feet of spectacular water fun, this resort makes staying in during spring break feel like you are right on the beach. There are waterslides, a wave pool, whirlpools, and a lazy river. There is even an uphill water rollercoaster, combining the best of thrills and the rapids. If your family has had enough of the water, you'll want to check out the indoor theme park, complete with a Ferris wheel and bowling. You can choose to stay in a standard hotel room or opt for something a bit more spacious.

South Seas Island Resort, Florida

If you'd like to enjoy the beach and the natural wildlife that frequents it, maybe you'd enjoy a quiet kayaking trip along the coast. At the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, you can rent kayaks and explore the estuaries and ponds.
